Planned Parenthood Imitates Pro-Life Bus Tour With Its Own

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and the Planned Parenthood abortion business has organized a last-minute bus tour to counter the one the Susan B. Anthony List coordinated with pro-life activist Lila Rose.

The pro-life bus tour is heading through the Midwest and the northeastern United States to thanks members who voted to revoke taxpayer funding for the abortion business, and Planned Parenthood is apparently not happy that it didn’t think of its own bus tour first.

In an email to its members, the abortion business said, “We know it is short notice — and it may be difficult for you to make it, but we need you, your friends and family by our side. It’s critical that we demonstrate our community’s strong support for Planned Parenthood.”

“You won’t be able to miss us — we’re traveling in a big pink bus. All you’ll need to do is show up, stand up, and speak the truth with us. Bring your co-workers. Your sisters. Your mom. Your friends. Bring everyone you know who cares about Planned Parenthood,” the group added.

The Planned Parenthood tour will go to some of the same offices of members of Congress as the pro-life tour and the abortion advocates timed their stops to come just before the pro-lifers arrive.

Jill Stanek, a pro-life blogger, commented on the sneaky tactics.

“Their audacity never failing to amaze, Planned Parenthood leaders revealed yesterday that they, too, are planning a hot pink bus tour to seven of the same stops, on the same days  — a half hour before SBA List and Lila are scheduled to begin their rallies,” she said. “Planned Parenthood knows SBA List’s “Votes have Consequences” bus tour last summer, spotlighting Democrat pro-lifers who nonetheless voted for Obamacare, proved devastating.”

“So although the abortion industry constantly berates pro-lifers for invading their space with our protests, desperate times call for hypocritical measures. The very real threat of losing taxpayer funding has forced Planned Parenthood to face Lila Rose, quite uncharacteristic – and pretty amazing,” Stanek added. “The next few days will no doubt be wild. Please, more than ever, attempt to attend one of SBA List/Lila Rose’s rallies if they are anywhere near you. Planned Parenthood will no doubt enlist staffers and union workers to attend theirs, which we’ve seen before.  We must show them up by our commitment to protect innocent preborn human life.”

Stanek noticed the Planned Parenthood announcement made no mention of the abortions it does or abortion being the main reason for the vote against its taxpayer funding. She also noticed the name of the Planned Parenthood tour, the “Truth Tour” is a rip off of another pro-life group.

“For Planned Parenthood to call it a  “Truth Tour” is to take direct aim at Pro-Life Action League, which every summer sponsors a Face the Truth Tour featuring graphic signs that tell the truth about abortion. Again, audacious,” she said.
