Hollywood, CA (LifeNews.com) — Readers of LifeNews.com had the opportunity to purchase a DVD copy of the heartwarming movie Bella weeks ago, and now the general public can purchase the film. Already, the pro-life themed movie is the most popular pre-sell DVD in its category at Amazon.com.

LifeNews.com has been covering the progress of Bella since June 2006 when we received a private advance screening of the unfinished, pre-edited movie.

Since then, Americans have come to embrace the film and its tale of a Mexican soccer star who loses everything but gains an appreciation of the value of human life.

Bella, which stars Eduardo Verastegui and Tammy Blanchard and features a compassionate look at a crisis pregnancy, took home tremendous per-theater numbers in the United States.

Directed by newcomer Alejandro Gomez Monteverde, Bella is a warm movie that earned strong praise from pro-life advocates.

"I can honestly say this is in my top five movies of all time, you must see this movie," Bryan Kemper of Stand True Ministries tells LifeNews.com. "We feel so strongly in the message and passion of this movie we feel compelled to do everything we can to promote it."

Kemper talks about the time he first saw Bella.

"When the movie was over I was trying to wipe the tears from my eyes before anyone could notice I had been crying. I knew I was going to enjoy the movie from the previews I had seen, but I never knew it would move me this much," he said.

"I have seen the movie at least 20 times now, and I have been just as inspired each time," he added.
The movie features an honest look at how to deal with an unexpected pregnancy as Verastegui character Jose helps his friend Nina, played by Blanchard.

"I can’t even take care of myself. How am I gonna take care of a kid?" Nina says as she confronts a problem young women deal with on a daily basis.
