Seattle, WA (LifeNews.com) — Former Oregon abortion practitioner George Kabacy has entered a guilty plea in court to charges that he engaged in child pornography. Kabacy, who now lives in Washington state, faces one count of engaging in child pornography and another of advertising it.

Kabacy was an abortion practitioner for Planned Parenthood of the Columbia-Willamette in Oregon but has lived in Washington for more than a decade.

The 68-year-old was indicted earlier this year after a child porn suspect in Georgia provided his email address to officials as the source of the pornographic materials.

According to the Associated Press, Kabacy is entering a guilty plea in U.S. District Court in Tacoma,

FBI Special Agent Ryan Bruett told AP that they found the email address linked to Kabacy and eventually discovered several sexual images of young pre-teen children on his computer and compact discs showing hundreds more.

"Dr. Kabacy asked what would happen to him," Bruett wrote in legal papers about the chance of discovering the materials. "I responded that if we found any child pornography, he would be placed under arrest. He responded, ‘You will.’"

Neil Fox, Kabacy’s attorney, asked the court to place him on electronic home monitoring arguing that the abortion practitioner has no prior criminal record.

George Kabacy is thought to be the abortion practitioner who botched an abortion on Gwendolyn Ray-Yarbour in June 1992 that ultimately caused her death.
